STATEMENTS

No words can I say to you both can express my eternal gratitude and admiration for all the good you have done for myself and everyone at SOSA. Ray you were born with a special purpose and I'm sure the good lord will have a special place for  you one day. Thank you so much for all your hard work and dedication and drive and your continued help and support with my case. Dearest Lucia you and your chirpy calming voice at the end of the phone installing confidence and reassurance - I am ever so grateful.

Today  I received the compensation for the "harms way" scheme. I couldn't imagine after being in care for 10 years, that this single transaction would ever have happened now that I am 70 years old. It feels really surreal that this is supposedly the final chapter  and total solution to an up - bringing as complex as ours, that few couldn't possibly even start to understand. I would personally like to thank you for your unrelenting investigation and effort in order to find the truth  and make it public  knowledge. Truth  will always triumph in the end and your persuance and determination has made  this possible.

I just want to thank you all for the extremely hard and at times challenging battle that you took on, on behalf of the children who were damaged at Shirley Oaks. If it had not been for your dedication and steadfastness, none of us would have re-met with old friends from our childhood and while it has been joyful to meet old friends, the circumstances that triggered it were for some so horrid, that the memories left are too much to face again. But know that I thank you all from the bottom of my heart, for all that you have done for us. May God look over you all, with kindness till the end of your days.

I wrote so many words but threw them away, to say what you've done will never fade away. But however many, though sincere and true I'll write one word alone and that is Thank You. Thank you All for helping us with getting justice for the cause. we appreciate everything you have done. We couldn't have done it without you. There are no words yet created that could express my heart felt love and respect that I have for you. Your warmth, compassion, love and strength goes beyond words! I would like to say thank you. Thank you for fighting for me (us). Thank you for respect. Thank you for your hard work fighting for compensation for those of us that were in Shirley oaks and other homes in Lambeth area. Thank you all for your fight and hard work for justice to be recognised to the children of Shirley Oaks home.

I cannot thank SOSA enough for the services rendered. SOSA’s help has made a big difference in my life and I feel my voice has finally been heard through you and justice, to an extent, has been served. Without SOSA none of this would be possible. Moreover, I would like to express my profound heartfelt gratitude to Raymond and Lucia for all your hard work, care and concern. You fought passionately for all of us. But I have to personally take this time to thank you. I am a woman of Christ and I believe God puts people in specific places and to people for different reasons. To me, Lucia and Raymond you two are like disciples fighting for justice. I thank God for your lives and continue pray over you and all the survivors. For this I am forever grateful.

It does open your eyes as to all that went on in the home. So many truths coming to the fore which is so very upsetting. If you were in the home from a very early age until your teens then of course, punishments and abuse were accepted as being the "norm" in those times, and you did not know anything else. Shirley was like a little village but you did not realise that there was a lot of cruelty which went on Yes Shirley was a lovely place but hides a lot of secrets, some of which will never be known. The SOSA deserve a lot of gratitude from the children who were in care.

You cannot imagine what a difference SOSA has made to my life. I never thought I would ever be in a position to not only have an apology from Lambeth and a good settlement, but most importantly, complete closure. All this was made possible because of Raymond and Lucia and the team at SOSA. I know how much time and work you have devoted in your battle with Lambeth. The settlement will never take away the pain and suffering but will make my life much better. Now I feel that door can finally be closed and I can move on with my new life without baggage and loose ends. Thank you SOSA.

Just a few words to express the gratitude I feel. You have been an inspiration and given me the strength I needed on many occasions throughout my journey with SOSA, this last couple of years. Your selfless dedication and commitment is helping me find answers and the closure I have been seeking for a long time. Having just received a Harms Way Payment, I would like to thank you again for everything you have done for me and so many others. I am pretty sure your old friend Peter Davis would have been so very very proud. God bless you all.

I have to say a very big thank you to two wonderful women (by the way that’s you guys, I’m guessing I’m pointing out the obvious) you’ve both have been amazing, right now I’m a lot scared but I will do this but I couldn’t if it wasn’t for you both. I will ensure this, my journey matters, because of two very amazing women thank you from me and every child that was forgotten, abused, neglected, we all need warriors.

Just a few words to thank you very much for your help and support in claiming my redress payment from Lambeth Council recently.  The work, determination help and support your organisation has provided for my fellow residents and myself has proved invaluable. Hopefully many of us will now feel vindicated and can regain some semblance of self respect and self esteem. They continue preying on the meek, weak and lonely despite their access to all the facts and creditable information. They will just deny, deny, deny. Thanks to your action and unification of our voices, their faced with grudgingly acknowledging their lack of duty and care. I won't  go on, only just to thank you again and urge you to continue the good work. In accomplishing  justice or closure for all survivors, it will surly lead to a better tomorrow for survivors.

Thank you for your outstanding work on behalf of us all.  You have made the difference in every single area of these investigations affirmations and  facts.  We can never repay you  for what you have done. Never. Thank You. Nobody can say what will happen now. For the Machines of Mendacity  grind slow but exceedingly fine.  And clearly Lambeth  is washing  the Blood off its hands like Pontus Pilot  before The Government  Offices it is Sworn to uphold   for  30 Pieces of Silver. Thinking  We The People of their many experiments over decades, will go quiet into that good night. Not Understanding that Shirley Oaks, is made of Good Knights, who have lived the other side of midnight. They have just under estimated us.

Lucia, Raymond, Rebecca, Maxine & Lynton. Thank you for the strength and courage you have given me over the last 12 months to at last, be able to share the horrors of my time in care. For the first time in over 50 years I have been able to hold my head up high and not have to hide my past from everyone I've come into contact with. No one, unless they have experienced being in care, can understand the stigma which goes with that. As soon as you mentioned you were in care it's as though any shred of credibility you may have built up is completely dumped in the waste bin, everyone assumes your from the gutter and you must have been bad to have been put into care. But like I say, after more than 50 years (equivalent of 2 life sentences in prison) I'm no longer ashamed to talk about my past and the years I spent in care, this is all thanks to the good people of SOSA.

I just want to say a big thank you to yourself Raymond and the team.  You have made such a difference in the lives of those of us who have lived with the memories of Shirley Oaks all these years... thank you for all of your hard work and now it’s time to look after yourselves!

Thank you all from the bottom of my heart for the dedication and commitment you have show us all impacted in whatever level by Lambeth.  Even though I have wanted to block this out I understand that it won’t go away and for some people the horror’s they suffered must be redressed and stopped and your fight on behalf of us all cannot be thanked enough.

Raymond and Lucia have fought and fought to expose the horrific abuse that was allowed to happen. They have stood with those who once had no voice in determination, passion, conviction, dedication and justice and commitment  to give the voiceless a voice. Lambeth we now have a powerful voice and we now stand strong like a firm foundation and stand strong in unity, strength and love.

Thank you will never be enough to express how much this Association has helped me. When I first heard about it, I just closed up and didn’t want to be reminded. Now it is nice to be heard and believed. With my grateful thanks.

No words can say thank you enough. SOSA have been there the whole way.

One can get all the help, & support, one needs from this great group of people, always there with a listening ear.

I would just like to take this opportunity to say a big thank you for all your hard work and dedication that you have done on behalf in pursuing Lambeth Council. This has resulted in me receiving a Harms Way payment and without your time and effort this would never have happened. So thank you all again, and keep up all the good work you are doing for all the others you are representing.

Dear Lucia, Rebecca and Raymond and colleagues i have just received my harms way payment from lambeth . Thank you for all you have done i would never have even thought of going through the fight you have done for all of those children that were at Shirley Oaks . Love and blessings.

I have just received my harms way payment offer and i am happy with that butIi am completely overwhelmed because i have felt so different from every one else for so many years and finally i realise its not my fault you guys have done what no one else could and i thank you with all my heart i know i have been difficult but thats the way they make you feel i thank you for everything.

I would just like to say that I have now fully completed my compensation claim against Lambeth Council and have received agreed payment. Thank you for your courageous stand against immense intimidation to help me gain some compensation for my unhappy time in Shirley Oaks.

I would like to also add my sincere admiration for the team's determination to ensure that every single one of the SOSA family receive the justice they deserve. I realise that it has not been an easy task but it has been your determination in not giving up which in turn has made each and everyone of us not give up. If the royal household is giving out MBE/OBE/CBE in 2019 all of you deserve the recognition.

Dear Raymond and Lucia. Thank you for all your hard work fighting for compensation for those of us that were in Shirley Oaks and other homes in the Lambeth area. I hope that there will come a time when you can both relax knowing you have done a good job. All my best wishes.

To all involved with SOSA. This is a big thank you from me and my family for all your help. Not only for the compensation but also for all your help in coming to terms with my life in care and my life in general.

To Raymond, Lucia and Co. I just wanted to say a big thank you to you all for taking on this big task and helping us get through SOSA including me. So please may God grant you all the peace and blessings as you continue with your good work. Big thank you.

I thank you and Raymond for all your hard work in this distressing matter.  I pray that all your work will be successfully completed in the near future and you both can get on with enjoying your lives. Gods blessing on you both.

To Raymond and Lucia and all the staff at SOSA. I would just like to you all to know that me and my family are all grateful that you exist as a body to help people like ourselves. Thank you!

Thank you so much for everything. Your hard work, persistence and determination and above all your courage to take on the ‘establishment’. You’re amazing.

You have changed my life thank you.  Thanks  for making me stop and face my demons, when it's finished I think I will be able to lock it away and never think about it again hopefully.

Thank you for your continued drive, support and diligence for all SOSA and individual members. Continue the work cos it ain’t done yet. No retreat - no surrender.

I am so proud of you all for the journey that you have embarked on. I am truly inspired by your fight for justice and wish you every success, you deserve it.

Can I thank you for your dedicated work and frustration you have gone through for us over the time of SOSA and redress scheme. You have fought for us.

We would like to thank you for all your hard work and support. This would never have had happened without you.

To the SOSA team, thank you for your tireless and hard work and support. We are both very grateful. God bless you all.

Thank you so much for your unbelievable efforts to get justice for us, it really is appreciated. The truth is money compensation doesn’t give us true justice, but it does take the edge off.

You guys are just fantastic there.  So many people would not have been able to confront Lambeth without your support and genuine care and understanding.

I am, and will continue to be a Survivor. Thank you SOSA. Your support will never go unnoticed. Thank you.

SOSA team I can't express words to what you have achieved. Its been a journey, a painful journey but knowing now that recognition has been given to the abuse suffered has made me stronger

I would like to say a massive thank you to you all. It has not been easy confronting these demons. It will take time to start to rebuild but knowing I have the support of you all and the SOSA family is a comfort

Thank you SOSA for everything you have done. We couldn't have done this without you.
